Remind My Pet

      RemindMyPet is an automated email reminder system designed to help pet owners remember to give medications to their pets on time. Upon visiting the site, users are able to easily register in seconds through a form on the landing page where they only need to provide their first and last name and email. The email system then sends out a confirmation email to ensure that the email address is valid.
     From this email, a user is capable of clicking a link that automatically logs them in and brings them to a full registration page where they can provide additional information, add pets to the system, and specify medications for the individual pets. Every month a reminder for a medication is received, or set the amount of days in between emails with available preset options for week, 30 days, and yearly. A user is capable of specifying a number to receive reminders via cell phone text message.
     After this initial setup, users will receive emails and text messages when they are due to give their pet the specified medication. A user is not required to return to the website unless they need to edit personal, pet or medicine information. A user will only receive one reminder for multiple medicines due to be administered on the same day, though each medication will be specified in the reminder.
The system tracks which emails are successfully sent, links that users click on within reminders, statistics on medication usage, user site participation, user referrals, etc.

     In addition, the site contains a video section to assist users in administering medication. The videos are displayed through a third-party Flash player with a custom skin.
There is also a gallery section for users to view pictures of their pets and the pets of other users. When a user is registering their pet, they are given the option of uploading a picture of the pet. This picture is added to the gallery, and is viewable on various profile pages to give the user a personal feel. 

     and manage their images from the gallery as well as view the images of other pets, and is capable of searching the gallery by species, breed, or the pet’s name. Additionally, images are sortable by their rating, oldest pictures first, or newest pictures first.  The gallery handles paging so the user is able to cycle through the images without the browser being bogged down with downloading all the images at once. You are also able to send the image to a friend.

     The site admin is able to approve or disapprove images from a separate admin tool. Alternatively, the admin is able to apply a setting to automatically approve all images. The admin tool also contains tools for suspending the emailing service, edit user information, edit admin users, edit products and their associated reminder emails, the site statistics mentioned above, and a link to automatically log the admin into the content management system of the website.

     The editor appears, loaded with the content of the selected section to give the admin the ability to easily edit the content of the site.
The editor provides a Word-style design editor, or a full-fledged HTML editor. After the save button is hit, the contents are saved to the database and viewable on the site.
